8 months old
It's hard to believe that Kai is already 8 months old! He crawls like a champ, pulls up to standing, and entertains himself for hours as long as he's fed and well rested. He weighs 20 pounds and already has 6 teeth! Most people can't believe how incredibly happy and laid back he is. We absolutely LOVE having him as part of our family!

Vera "Bee" and Vera "Z"
We used to implement a rule that Vera could not get out of her bed when going down for a nap, but after a couple days of her getting out and playing so quietly that I didn't know she was playing and then still taking a nap, I decided it was a good thing as it gave me a little extra time in the afternoon to get things done while both kids were asleep. When she came out of her room yesterday afternoon, she skipped into the kitchen. "Hi, Daddy!" We both looked at her and did all we could to contain our laughter. She had gotten her bee outfit out of the closet and put it on while quietly playing in her room. That would have been kinda cute and funny no matter what, but what topped it off was that she had it on inside out and the leg holes wrapped around her waist. Kids sure can be cute! She keeps us laughing each and every day!

This picture was taken outside a storefront in Xiamen. Vera was pretty excited by the store's name.

For Mom...
...so she'll stop asking where the pictures are! Even though we've been back for over a week, I'm still trying to get everything put away. When we got home we looked at the pile of luggage (see pic) and asked, "How did we get home with all of that and two small children?!?!" We had a wonderful trip to the US, but it's also good to be back home and settled.
